Artists were given access to a room in a terraced house for 2 weeks to made site responsive work.
Fritha Jenkin’s work Reception inhabits the living room where hundreds of upturned glasses balance clay dug up from the foundations unseen basement of the house. Confronted with a powerful yet unnerving landscape the absurd use of materials creates a strong sense of tension. Reception transports you into an intimate alien like world.
Documentation of room: Earth dug from beneath the room. a variety of used glasses.
Fritha Jenkin’s work Reception looking like a meteorite storm frozen in free fall turns the living room into a site of physical negotiation with hundreds of carefully balanced glasses topped with lumps of clay dug from the basement foundations of the house.
