touch and go
Capturing the Glendalough Waterfall:
Me and Louise decided to go and capture a waterfall. It was 2013. We set off from London to Ireland, travelling by rail, ferry and bus. The journey took us to Glendalough where we thought we might find a waterfall. We found lots enroute including one in a pub.
When we found the one we ingested it before soaking our clothes in it, bagging them up and heading home.
At Euston station we got dressed into our waterfall soaked clothes and rung each other out. Some people stopped and watched.
The work was first shown at RCA Sculpture Project Space in 2013. An aluminium pan was boiling dry waterfall water on a camping stove. Upstairs an 18 minute film was shown 3 times an hour.
